How it works

To collect the specimen, insert the swab into the patient's nostril and gently push it about 2 to 3 cm until you feel resistance. Rotate the swab around five times, making sure it touches the nostril's walls. Repeat this process for the other nostril, and then remove the swab.

To prepare the sample, locate the hole marked on the kit and insert the extraction tube. Gently remove the sealing film from the extraction tube to avoid any spillage. After a minute, squeeze the tube from the outside to immerse the swab, then remove it. Finally, insert the tip of the swab into the extraction tube.

Interpreting The Results

• On the other hand, a line appearing on both the control and test lines (C and T) shows a positive result, indicating the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Additionally, you may confirm the results with a PCR test at your local healthcare center.
